Do it Yourself in Z-scale

Z-scale (1:220) model railroading has many rewards. The novelty of being the smallest mass-produced electric model railroad, the high quality of the available products, and the ability to squeeze a complex and varied layout into a very small space are among them.

However, those who work with Z don't necessarily have all the same luxuries as N or HO-scale modelers, such as a huge selection of spare parts and accessories in every local hobby shop, or the large number of manufacturers to drive down prices. So, those in the Z world must learn to do many things themselves, which can only increase the enjoyment and satisfaction of this hobby. These pages serve to provide assistance and information for the Z-scale modeler.
